VIEW DURAMAC PUMP SIZING CHART
Unlike typical booster pumps, DuraMac
booster pumps can operate in three different user selectable
modes. The pump is
programmed with one dial, and tells you if it is working properly via it's single status light.
The three programmable operating modes of the DuraMAC
pump are as follows:
Flow Mode - Starts on water flow,
Stops on low flow
Pressure Mode - Starts on pressure
drop, Stops on low flow
Conservation Mode - Starts on pressure
drop, Stops on low flow
NOTE: DO NOT EXCEED A TOTAL PUMP
SYSTEM PRESSURE OF 100 PSI. The total
pump pressure will be the inlet pressure + maximum boost pressure from the
table above. Municipal water supplies can vary over a 24 hour period and
in some applications a Pressure Regulator installed before the booster
pump may be required to restrict the inlet pressure and prevent damage to
the booster pump.
KNOW YOUR BUILDING CODES:
The International Residential Code states "A
means for controlling increased pressure caused by thermal expansion shall be
installed where ... a backflow prevention device, check valve or other
device is installed on a water supply system using storage water heating
equipment." (2903.4) Since most Booster Pump Systems and Pressure Regulators
incorporate a check valve, installation of an expansion tank is highly
recommended even if not required by local code. DuraMAC pumps feature an
included expansion tank that will satisfy this requirement. CALL US AT 866-626-7867 FOR ASSISTANCE SELECTING THE PROPER BOOSTER PUMP FOR YOUR APPLICATION. All material copyright © 2024 Western DataLynx Inc. |
